Questions
How much does a car wash membership cost?
Unlimited monthly plans at express tunnel chains usually run about $20–$45 a month for one car, depending on the wash level and city (chain notices checked 2026-10-28). Two or more washes a month usually pays for a plan. See our membership guide for the break-even math.
How much does car detailing cost?
Our 2026 U.S. estimate for a full interior and exterior detail on a sedan is about $200–$290 at a shop; SUVs and trucks cost more and mobile detailers usually charge 10–20% extra. Use the calculator for your state.
Is a touchless car wash better for my paint?
Touchless washes never touch the paint, so they are the safest for new, dark or ceramic-coated cars, but they leave more road film. A well-kept soft-cloth tunnel cleans better with a small risk of fine swirl marks.
